Tokyo and Osaka lawsuits as well as lawyers spread the word about present state of hemophilia patients who were attacked by an unprecedented drug scandal to the world.Also we hold a memorial gathering very year to pass on stories of the disaster and mourn the diseased victims.
 
It has been nineteen years since settlement between us and government, pharmaceutical companies. Nevertheless, HIV-infected hemophilia patients become worse over the years due to complications of HIV. Bereaved family who lost loved ones, have never healed their sadness and a sense of loss. At the same time, HIV victims continue to live on while having their grief.
 
The majority of them are co-infected with HIV and HCV. Because of co-infection, liver condition get progressively deteriorated and transform into liver cirrhosis, and thereafter liver cancer.In the recent ten years, the most of them are dead mainly due to liver diseases.Study group is established in order to tack with these problems. Brain death liver transplantation was successfully conducted for HIV/HCV-infected patients for the first time last year.
